So, we played this show last night in Burlington, VT. It was fairly fun. When we got there for load in we thought we were going on at 8pm, but found out during dinner that they wanted us on at 7:30. So I ate my $9 cheeseburger like it was the greatest single piece of edible joy ever created by man, which it wasn't, and got my beef-juice glazed face back to the venue. I love the fact that we can set-up and break-down so quickly. I'm used to hour load ins and stuff...so nice. The crowd was sparse at first but people filtered in quickly...btw, speakers outside is a great idea for any venue. You could have the JB's in the club and nobody would know it...unless they read the marquee...which I never do, but if I heard the JB's being pumped into the street, I'd definitely notice. What else...Brian and his lovely birthday girl were pulled in be the street speaks and we made friends quickly...partly because they were the only two peeps in the room who weren't being paid to be there for much of the first set, and partially because they were f'ing awesome!! I hope she likes her hornitz t-shirt...she got the limited edition white logo...hang onto that hun, it'll be worth slightly more eventually...oh, we have SHIRTS!!! So, were official. A band can't be official without merch!! CD's coming soon!!! Buy the hornitz lunch box, board game and travel chess set. Great regift ideas. Okay but for serious, we had lots of fun in VT. Sleepa kept finding ways to call me a commie all week. I think putting diabetic peanut butter and a banana in your morning oatmeal is just good thinking...it doesn't necessarily make me a scum-sucking pinko-perv...or does it?!?!?! Also, if my coffee carafe is piping hot it doesn't mean that the french vanilla is also at a near magmic temp. and my hot java does not make me a marxist baby-hater. I'm just settinng the record straight. After the gig we needed food and happiness, which Sleepa and I found in the form of soggies...the texture of those things is too close to what I would conceptualize the texture and structural integrity of a penis to be gotta go, bye!
